Winter Backcountry Trail Days

Ascutney Trails Association will be hosting 3 final winter trail work days this fall:  October 24th, November 7th and November 14th. All work days will begin at 8 am, end at 12 noon and leave from the Ascutney Outdoors Center parking lot. It would be helpful if someone with a truck could shuttle people to the top of the tbar.  Brush and sapling cutting tools such as whippers with blades are recommended for working in this terrain.  Please contact Aaron aday@wsesu.net  if you plan on attending any or all of these work days and if you are able to shuttle people to the top of the tbar.  

With your help, Ascutney Trails Association has had a successful summer with the renewal of Old Ox and the mowing of many ski trails above the lift-served area.  Additionally, Ascutney Outdoors has mowed below the t-bar and cleared the Stove Pipe Alley glade.  It looks to be a great ski season at Ascutney.

Our 3 trail days will focus on fine tuning Old Ox, the top of Broadway and the reopening of Millers Mile as well as few other secret stashes.  Come out and join the fun!
