E-Bike Policy Update

E-BIKE POLICY UPDATE - The Upper Valley Land Trust, West Windsor Conservation Commission and West Windsor Select board recently approved the use of Class 1 Pedal Assist E-bikes (no throttle assist) across the entire Ascutney Trails network. It was previously limited to a restricted route from the AOC trailhead while an assessment was made regarding the impact on trails and safety issues.

Bicycle technology is ever evolving, and like suspension, disc brakes and dropper posts, e-bikes bring another layer of benefits for some riders.

We are excited at this decision and the access it provides for more folks to be out enjoying the trails on bikes.

I don't have an E mtn bike but happy they're approved. A lot of older folks can ride trails they otherwise wouldn't have to, and there's no additional noise or erosion issues.
